Shoreditch was once a risqué part of the city- and bits still reside as it has a club on every corner, a few stripper bars down the main roads, street art piled on any brick it can reach- and the first cluster of Victorian counsel estates. Once where Jack the Ripper slaughtered young women- tourists annoy locals. Music has replaced Religion at the church, filling up the pews with fans, and caging up Jesus. Overpriced flats continue to rise in price, high end shops pop up each week on RedChurch St, and new architectural ventures scramble to gain acceptance. Places where Shakespeare was performed by the community of actors shortly after the plays gained popularity- Electronic Music fluctuates. And as the clock hits 6pm, unevenly paved streets alongside alleys of cobblestone are crowded by drunken youth till dawn.
