Lilac Lips hit the fashion scene last year, and most notably with Lady GaGa. It’s also one of Lime Crime’s premiere colors called “D’Lilac“; noting it’s a shade fit for the ones who are high in society, but make bold statements. For the designer Julian Louie, he sported this color on his models’ lips with a lightly dusted rusty eye shadow on their lids.

This Spring, rouge and dark lips amongst neutrals, with hints of body paint struck the runways. Chanel even released a line of temporary tattoos, which are in the debate between clever and we will say it: unnecessary. Personally, I haven’t made up my mind whether I like them or think that spending the $70 on temporary tattoos that I may not want to brand my skin with, worth it. The package does come with fifty-five designs even so, and the tattoo garter belts did get me curious.

For Rodarte, painted arms that hinted at tribal led them in amongst the others who followed suit with this trend. Each version is slightly different, such as Julian Louie‘s almost muscular outline look, and Alexander McQueen‘s otherworldly creatures.

To splash a bit of zest on the models at the Prada show, bright red and red-orange lips made the runway. Overall, dark and sheer colors were the dominant color for most, but bright colors or even pastels are definitely colors that tend to be the most popular of Spring and Summer.
Now with all these trends introduced, what will you choose? Or will you go for something completely off the radar like yellow? Will you start plastering something like a henna tattoo or some war paint on your face? I always tend to have my face paint palette handy, for whenever I decide to do something fancy.
