Paris Fashion Week SS’10: Alexander McQueen

October 10, 2009

Live on McQueen’s website, fans from all over the globe were able to see his show as it occurred. The title for the show was “Plato’s Atlantis” featuring a story line- showing land to water. The introduction, displayed on the backdrop, was a young woman turning into a sea monster by rolling around with snakes. McQueen’s collection featured armadillo-like shoes and outfits with exquisite detail. McQueen never fails in stunning his audience and expanding the imagination of the fashion industry.

Guarantee, that a certain someone will be grabbing one of these dresses to prance around a rouge carpet somewhere. I know I must!

Details:

Accessories included clutches ranging between a few intriguing shapes and shades.

Other accessories which stood out, were the bracelets shown in silver and gold.

Nails were long, and metallic.

Hair ranged from a series of braids to high double fins.

Make Up was done by the likes of Peter Philips and others to help create the human-to-creature evolution.

Shoes, greatly detailed, ranged from the armadillos to the looks of infused coral and industrialized heels.
